Apple TV thoughts ...
after hooking up my Macbook Pro to my new 52" Samsung LCD TV and using Front Row to watch the Movie trailers...I have to say that if the content they are going to have available looks as good as those trailers, its going to be a terrific product.
I was streaming those videos flawlessly over wireless G (low signal at that) to my first gen Macbook Pro and they didn't stutter or for that matter, look bad at all, in fact I was very impressed by the quality of picture, even though I used a DVI-VGA adapter to connect to the back of the TV. The trailers were a lot nicer quality than some of the so-called HD content piped through to Cox Cable.
So if the Apple TV can provide comparable content (through HDMI) over 802.11n, its going to be pretty nice indeed!
I'm looking forward to it. But I think I'll wait until both the Apple TV and the new Airport Extreme base station support gigabit since I don't want to use a G router and I don't want to buy the current N product with 10/100...
