bulging MacBook Pro, NOT battery related

I just pulled my MBP core duo out of its case and it apparently failed to go to sleep while it was in there. It was super hot when i pulled it out, and when i opened it up the left side of the keyboard wsd bulging out quite visibly. There seems to be a flickering in the screen as well. Is this something that applecare would cover?

    I'm sure it would cover it. By "sure" I mean "reasonably confident". If not, raise a stink and let them know we're all talking about it on AppleInsider.
