I want to make a scatter plot, and I entered the data and everything worked fine, but i dont want to start at zero, i'd like to start at 2 and go to 3.5 in the y-axis. And is there anyway to tell what increments it goes by? (haha simple enough to do it on a TI-83plus)

P.S. Is it possible to do line of best fit?

try screwing around with the chart wizard in excel, there are a lot of hidden options (because ms cannot make the easy things obvious....)

I don't know what version of Excel you have. I have 98, but I think it is more or less the same in every version I have used. Double click on the axis you want to change (the y-axis). You should get a format dialog box. (Alternatively you can go to the view menu and show the chart toolbar, then select value (Y) axis in the pop-up menu and click format.) This dialog box has a scale tab which should give you all the options you need.

To do a best fit line, highlight the chart and go to the chart menu, than select add trendline.

    Hope that helps.
