Lotus founder developing Outlook alternative

Lotus founder Mitch Kapor is developing an open-source alternative to Microsoft Outlook for Mac OS X, Linux and Windows, according to c|net. Kapor is heading up a project that aims to build a free equivalent of Outlook, with e-mail and PIM functionality. Mr. Kapor is targeting the small business market and home user, who may not be able to afford the costs of complex products like Microsoft Exchange

    How about for people that need a client for an existing Exchange network?
