I have an external firewire drive and would like to use it as a Windows drive for Boot Camp. Is there any way I can go about doing this or if not if there are any ideas if Boot Camp in the future will allow this in the future?
It's Windows that's the problem not Bootcamp. It's due to how it loads its drivers or something. You have to modify the installer CD and go through quite a long procedure.
This really surprised me about Windows because I couldn't imagine not being able to boot OS X from an external drive. I think even the classic OSs let you do that.
