Lacie d2 Does not mount

I have a Lacie d2 with 500BG that does not want to mount on my PowerPC G4 running 10.3.9. The only connection port I have that fits both is the Firewire 400. Historically, I have had much difficulty getting larger Lacies to work with Firewire 400 and this is no exception.

I have heard that G4's have an HDD limit of 250 GB. If so, is there some way around this?

This does not answer your question but I recently had a LACIE drive that would not mount, it just stopped working. They replaced it no problem.

I could be that the drive is faulty, try it on anoter mac just to be sure.

I had this same problem, that I posted about 2 days ago. It worked just fine with the USB. Though this was the first time I'd used the drive.
