Upgrading MacBook HD

Hey Everyone,

I'm thinking about upgrading my HD in my MacBook. I was wondering out of the three versions I'm looking at:

http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Seagate/ST9120821AS/

http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Hitachi/0A50160/

Which do you guys recommend?

I have a Seagate HD right now, and I've had no problems. I was thinking about maybe changing to Toshiba due to the good reviews I've heard about them. I've heard that Seagate drives are notorious for breaking down easily and quickly.

Thanks,

Tom

I'd suggest the Seagate 5400.3 over the 5400.2 and the Hitachi 5K160 over the 5K120. The newer drives have perpendicular recording which means higher platter density and faster read/write times. I'm not sure about Toshiba drives though.

Then again, you probably wouldn't notice it.

I think I might pick up the Hitachi 5K160, a little cheaper than the Seagate.
