Recreating iTunes Library?

Yesterday morning while I was running iTunes the power cut out. After the power returned I went to run iTunes and got an "Invalid file" message. Thinking that my iTunes Library got corrupted when the power cut out I ran Micromat's Drive 10 v1.1.2. I then tried running iTunes again and got the message: "The iTunes Music Library file cannot be read because an unknown error occurred (-36)." Someone told me that -36 is an input/output error and that I should check my hard drive. Therefore, this time I ran DiskWarrior to make sure everything was alright. All seemed fine. When trying to run iTunes I now get the message "The iTunes Music Library file cannot be read because it does not appear to be a valid library file." Someone said I need to recreate my iTunes Library. Is he right? If I do need to recreate my library, is there an easy way to do this? I have over 5,000 mp3 files in my library and do not want to start over.
