wireless signal intermittent after base upgrade

I recently upgraded my wireless router after my old one died. My new router is a linksys 802.11n capable, but I still have an 802.11g card. I run a PC for work that sits next to my mac. The mac will lose signal while the PC stays rock solid. If I open the internet connection on the apple, and turn off the airport and then turn it back on, my signal goes back to 100% for a few minutes and then goes back down to about 20%.

Do I need to install the new 802.11n enabler? I've had the card checked at the store and it appears fine.....Anyone ever have this problem?

Thanks

I've had similar problems before and mine were resolved simply by changing the channel it was broadcasting on. Maybe that will help you too.
