Account icon

Okay, this probably sounds really dumb but, I have the cat icon that came with my Mac as my account icon. I didn't choose it, it was just there. So, I go into the Account preferences to change it and it says it's all good. (There's only one account on my computer, by the way.) Yet, whenever I go into Address Book or Mail it shows the cat icon. I'll try to change it there but whenever I do that it defaults back to the cat icon. What's up with this? It's starting to annoy me because I see it everywhere. Any help?
