    July 2000: PM7500 FrankenMac

Feb 2001: TiBook 500MHz (first version)

Dec 2002: TiBook 1GHz (last version)

    Nov 2003: B&W 350MHz

    Dec 2005: iMac G5 20" / 2.1GHz

Dec 2005: PowerBook 180c (given to me for free, I fixed a solder joint and it now works fine)

An Intel Mac might be coming soon: probably an iMac, but possibly an MBP. Currently I still own all of the macs above, although the TiBook 500MHz has been in my mother's possession since Dec 2002. I'm not sure what to do with the PB 180c, but it's a nice relic.

I am getting ready to part with the B&W. It has 640MB RAM and an 80GB disk IIRC. It will go on eBay soon, but if anyone wants to take it off my hands before then I'll part with it for $50 + shipping. It works fine and has OS X 10.3 (I believe) loaded on. I have multiple copies of Tiger since I was in the ADC so I'll load that on if desired. It can be cheaply upgraded to a 900MHz G3 and is a tower so it makes a decent OS X file server (even as-is at 350Mhz).

    1984

Apple IIe - I know, not a Mac, but the first computer I ever worked on... I was six years old.

    1988?

Mac SE/30 - Had a hard drive. I remember my dad and I opening that sucker up to install a whopping 32 MB of RAM!

    1990

Mac IIsi - Also we got the Apple laser printer... was it the Imagewriter maybe? I wrote a lot of reports for junior high on that machine. All my teachers wondered how I could make them all look so nice! It was the last Mac we had for a while.

    1992-2005

    Various MS windows based machines

    2005

iBook 14" iBook G4 - I began to wonder what Apple had been up to in the intervening years. My experiences with the three iPods I had owned were superlative and I began to wonder what magic they had been working on the computer side of things. The G4 iBook was an inexpensive, non-committal way to get back into Mac... I have not looked back.

    2006

24" iMac Core2Duo - This is my baby. Now that I am a home owner, the iMac sits upstairs with all the goodies on it. I use my iBook for mobile computing and as an iTunes client to stream to the two airport expresses that are wired up to audio equipment.

    2007

Maybe a 15" iMac G4 "lampshade" - To date, this is my favorite form factor of Mac and I desperately want one to use strictly to use as an internet browser/iTunes client at the breakfast bar in my kitchen. Prices don't seem too bad for a 700 or 800 MHz G4.

    Beyond

When this rumored subnotebook comes out, its Ebay for the iBook. Then the computing needs of my universe will be met: desktop, mobile, accessory. But chances are that Jobs & Co will find someway to tempt me. Can't wait to see what the future brings.

The first two were family computers:

    1985 Mac 512 K - what a classic!

1989? Mac SE/30 - This was originally to be my sister's computer for college but my parents liked it so much we kept it and got my sister another one.

1996 PowerMac 7600/120 - This was during apple's darkest days, but I still loved this computer, as it was my college computer. It died in 2000, just a few weeks before I graduated. Fortunately that didn't matter since I was only taking two classes that term and was essentially done.

2002 ibook G3 700 Mhz - This one is still around, although it's not used too much anymore. A real trooper considering I yanked it off my desk (too bad I didn't have mag safe) and killed the HD, and then had it's logic board fail (it was in the bad batch).

2006 iMac 20" Core Duo - What I'm typing on right now!

Because you list things like your computer specs, how many songs you have, and applications you own.

There's nothing wrong with that, mind you, but it's really fucking geeky

edit: after re-reading your post, I can't tell if it was serious or tongue in cheek.

A chance to boast about all the old crap I happen to have collected eh? Let's go!! 8)

1985 - Mac 128k Since then it has been pimped out with an extra 128kb RAM and a 20mb external hard disk. The little bugger still works as well!

1992 - PowerBook 140 Died and was dismantled in 1998...

1994 - Quadra 650 Hard drive stopped working in 2003...

1997 - PowerMac 5500 It has been donated to my parents who use it mainly for word processing.

1998 - PowerBook 1440c Gave this one away to one of my younger cousins to play with.

1999 - PowerMac G3 One of the blue and white ones: "Yosemite" I think was the codename. I sold it to someone from my old job.

2001 - iBook G3 One of the white iBooks before they had G4 processors. Also donated to my parents.

2004 - PowerBook G4 Aluminium PowerBook, my current work machine.
