help needed for macbook batttery

i hardly use the battery as i am normally using it on my table. is it advisable to take out the battery while on ac? ppl say cpu will throttle to 1 Ghz. i am not sure. but Apple care said it's ok to do so... soem say leaving the battery in is good also? so guys, i need ya help!!!
