Power Output from MBP USB ports
Hello all,
I'm currently looking to buy a 2.5 external hard drive (the kind that draws power from the USB ports of a computer) for my MBP. The the thing I'm worried about is that a single USB port won't put out enough power to power these external drives. Powering the hard drive through two USB ports is not a solution, as I have the 15" MBP (the one with two USB ports, one on each side). So does anyone know how much power is put out through the 15" MBP C2D USB ports? This is the specific hard drive I'm looking to buy:
