Now I am using iMac intel 2G,17".

When I use Quicktime or VLC to play 720P movie trailer,it is not clear as it playing in windows on PC.

Do I need to calibrate the LCD such as contrast or brightness? And how to do it?Is there anyone have the same problem?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you do need to calibrate it. There is a built-in utility in Mac OS X that will let you do that (it must be in the displays preference pane), but if you want more detailed control I would recommend using SuperCal. Not sure if it will work on an Intel iMac though, as it is PPC only and I don't know if Rosetta allows such access to hardware.
