Parser for Address Book/iCal

If someone emails an address, is there anything out there that will let me select it, hit some command, and have it parse it out for an address book entry. The same for an iCal entry would be awesome as well...

Sounds like you want Apple Data Detectors resurrected.
A lot of us do.
ADD was a MacOS 9 tech that did just that... select some text, and it would give you a contextual menu of actions you could perform with the data.
Frankly, Services under X provide the same sort of possibilities (and then some!), but ADD needs to be brought into the X fold, IMNSHO.
Well, that and Services need to appear in the contextual menu to begin with...
