Where's the End, Home, Page Up and Page Down keys on the Apple keyboard?

I've got an Apple keyboard (UK).

Where's the End, Home, Page Up and Page Down keys on the Apple keyboard?

It's frustrating me and making me go crazy!

I can see some funny looking keys.

Two are slanted arrows... an two are up and down arrows with two horizontal bars.

These seem to take me a page down or up: but not when editing text.

Thanks.

On the American models they're between the letters and the number pad, just where you would expect them. Why would the UK have a different keyboard?

    thanks for the reply.

yes... i can see some keys betwwen the numbers and letters keys.

but they're not labelled as page up or page down or home or end.

and as i explained: the keys dont function as the keys i want.

If I recall correctly, you can use the command key (the squiggly thing) and one of the arrows to achieve the same result. While holding command, left arrow is home, right arrow is end, up arrow is page up, and down arrow is page down.

I could be wrong, though, and I'm not at home to try it out right now.

If you realy want them labled as Home, End, Page Up / Down etc as you would find on a PC, get the Logitech Cordless Desktop S 530 Laser for Mac.

    UK Apple stores stock them.

I'm guessing that's what you see.

On those six keys, the top row (left to right) is help, home, page up.

The bottom row is forwards delete, end, page down.

On the Mac, home takes you to the top of the document, not to the start of the line. That's just how it is. Ditto end, for the end of the document. Page up and down, however, do work the same way as you're used to on Windows.

That part still bugs me. If I want to go to the beginning or end of a document (which is rare for me), then I have no problem hitting cmd-home or cmd-end. cmd left or right arrows does go to the home and end of a line, but I think that's kind of backwards, I rarely need to use home and end as Apple has defined them, and it's only one key, but to go to the beginning or end of a line, which I use all the time, it's two keys.

erm... i'm still very ver confused and frustrated.

    i use firefox.

i use it for my mail through gmail and for posting to forums like i am doing now.

the home and end buttons don't work at all.

the page up and page down buttons only take the damn page up and down: but not the editing.

coommand right takes me to the end of the line

    command let does nothing.

ok: we're not in windows here.

but... i would have thought that the functionality of home, end, page up and page down would be crucial to any application?

on windows: i sue them all the time!

on mac: i'm scratching my head.

is it just a firefox thing?
