imovie problems?? or nut loose on the keyboard?

i have this problem when i import an image with a graphic on it into imovie. it is coming up very "fuzzy" in imovie - but just fine in photoshop!!! help! i know it is something i am doing, i have done a million of these photo slide shows, but i can't figure this one out!!
