Backing up my Mac partition?

Boot Camp refuses to install on my MacBook. It says that I should backup and format the HDD and then restore the Mac partition. I was wondering what the simplest way of backing up (and then restoring) a Mac partition is for my Macbook?

Of course, when I restore, it will be to a smaller partition but I have about 20GB empty which is more than I'll need for Windows, so what is the simplest way of doing this?

Thanks,

Abhinav

    I use SuperDuper.

Backing up your HDD to the iPod on a regular basis will eventually kill your iPod hdd.
