Apple never makes beta versions available via software update.

We should just create - and designate - ONE thread in Software or OS X as the one and only, end-all/be-all "Safari update notice" thread.

Mods could even control it or lock it so no one can go in and talk about something else. Merely a "okay guys...v64 just released...go get it!" and that's it.

I'd check it every couple of days.

Reportedly, it fixes the problem where doing an option-click download would result in one's home directory being completely and immediately deleted.

    Reportedly.
