enabling applescript in itunes, dvd player, mail

How do I enable applescript in itunes, dvd player and mail so I can use some of the applescripts that are out there? In Itunes, I want to use a script that will retrieve cover art for the songs in my library. I've been using Fetch Art on my old Mac where I was able to enable applescript. Is there a better program that Fetch Art; it's lame and sometimes get the cover art wrong.
