Will My Current Cingular Sim Work In The New iPhone?

The reason I ask is because I was AT&T before the merge and I had to merge my account to Cingular before I could upgrade to the family talk plan...when I did that...I was upgraded to a Cingular SIM card and the AT&T SIM card no longer worked...now I'm concerned I will have to go through the same B.S. now that they've gone back to the AT&T name. I'm hoping that I had to go through that before because it was 2 totally different companies merging therefore the SIM licensing was different and there was no other way around it. PLEASE TELL ME MY SIM CARD WILL WORK.

I had Cingular / have AT&T and I didn't have to get a new SIM card when they merged. I lost my phone not too long ago (post-merger) and had to get a new SIM then. The sales rep at the store told me it would be $20 but I acted stupid and said someone one the phone told me it would be free. The sales guy got a little flustered and went to his manager who told him to just give it to me. Maybe you could give that a shot.
