Does anyone remember 'Davids Stone'?
Anyone know if this turned out to be anything?
I'm guessing that it was probably an OS thing (hence where I've put this thread).
Maybe I'm just getting misty eyed, (or old) but it seems that there were much more cryptic and enigmatic code names flying about 3-4 years ago. Names like 'Apple Pi' and so on.
For those of you who are wondering what I'm gibbering about, 'Davids Stone' (as in the stone that wasted Goliath) was the supposed code name for an Apple product. Some were speculating that it was some kind of super secret weapon that would finally provide a definitive advantage over Microsoft and put an end to all our woes etc. etc.
Back then we were still mired in G4 crappiness and were looking for a saviour. Great days- sometimes it's almost boring now with Apple being so much on the ascendency.
They are on some kind of ascendency, right?....
