So .. I'm really nervous. I won't be home until friday... So i just had a few questions and hoped for basic advice. I'm a huge PC guy... intermediate to advanced in terms of windows. Definitely a power user. Don't have a whole lot of exposure to Mac.. I just wanted to try something different

So i just got the $999 Macbook, and im wicked excited

1) Whats the best case for your Mac. Im looking for the sleeve type... if you get what i'm saying... something i can put it in and then put it in my backpack

2)How do i keep the battery in great shape?

3) Any general advice for the hardware or the software of OSX would be greatly greatly appreciated

Thank you so much.

As far as a case I would easily buy a Neocase again. Love the handles and that it stays attached to your machine as you work if you'd like. It also slips into my briefcase (Targus) very easily.

Welcome to the Mac. After that interim period of teaching your fingers to hit command(apple) c to copy something instead of control c and all those little things you've come to take for granted on Windows, I trust you will love your new Mac life. If you'd like to read some good general information to make the switch even more comfortable, check out the How to Switch article I linked to on my iSwitched lens (see sig). There is a comprehensive article linked there and a link to Apple's Switch 101 site for switchers. Good info that will ease you into the transition.
