The real reason Apple chose AT&T - U-Verse

I really predict that AT&T's U-Verse will be an option on both the Apple TV and iPhone in the near term. IP TV....its gotta be that killer app. Imagine live TV on your phone, anywhere you have a wifi connection. Not that its needed on a phone, but it would be a pretty killer app in your pocket. Add the ability to stream from your recorded Apple TV...hmm, things could be interesting.



The Apple TV with U-Verse? Very nice indeed! Note that its IP TV using H.264. Kind of a good fit, eh?

    I've seen an ad for something like that already and it looked pretty good. It would be great but you'd still have to pay a TV license for it wouldn't you? I don't imagine there's many people who would own an iphone and not a TV though.



    I think it would be a killer app but I don't know if wifi would be the best way to go about it. A TV tuner add-on would probably be better.
