HDTV Calibration

Got an HDTV 2 weeks ago: I cant seem to get the red right: it always looks blasted out or orange using a ATSC test pattern on Fox Sports Midwest HD on Comcast, so when I watch F1, the Feraries look slightly orange-yellow...every other hue is perfect...thereds just get blown out no matter what I change...is my TV just a POS? is it tunable? do I really need to spend $$ on a coloromitor or $$$$ on a pro tuning?
