Core Image/Quartz Extreme all of a sudden "Not Supported"

I have a 2.66Ghz Mac Pro with 4gb of RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT.

Recently, Warcraft stopped working ("...unable to start 3D Accerlation"). And Parallells too. The screen never "flips"... although the icon in the dock shows that Windows is indeed loading. Expose is also slower than I'm used to as well.

I load up "About this Mac" and then the System Profiler and notice that "Core Image" and "Quartz Extreme" both read "Not Supported". What happened?? I've tried to reset the PRAM at this point (Cmd-Option-P-R)... but still the same.

This occurred in the last week... before the most recent OS update. I just installed that tonight to see if it would make a difference, and it did not.

...any ideas?

Adam

Try booting in safe mode (hold down shift at startup) and then if you have AppleCare, run the disk with all the hardware checks and stuff on it.
