Problems burning DVD with Toast 8 Titanium.

I get the following error about 2-3 minutes into burning the DVD, then Toast just

hangs.



The drive reported an error

Sense Key = UNIT ATTENTION

Sense Code = 0x29

POWER ON, RESET, OR BUS DEVICE RESET OCCURED





This is on:

Mac Pro (2.66) 2G mem

2 Apple installed Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-111D (I tried both, with the same effect)

OS-X 10.4 (with latest upgrades)



Given that I get the same error, using either drive, I'm guessing that

the controller hardware may be at fault.



I would appreciate any suggestions for further diagnostics (or do I just

shuffle off to the nearest Apple store)

Try popping in the TechTool Deluxe disc (if you got AppleCare) to run hardware diagnostics.

Thanks! I ran Techtool Deluxe diagnostics, found nothing wrong (although I'm not sure

if it looks at optical disks at all)
