Problems launching certain applications

hey, I've been having problems launching certain applications. whenever I open a select few apps, I get this message:







the apps affected are appleworks, photoshop, AIM, among others. how can I fix this? thanks.

    If they used to open, try to repair permissions first. Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility

    Are you on an Intel Mac and are all these apps powerpc?

    I am on an intel mac, but I've never had any problems before opening these apps. this only started a week ago, and I've had this imac for almost three months.

    Sure but for example, you may have removed something that prevents PPC apps from working. There is a program called Monolingual that removes extra languages but it is also set by default to remove PPC compatibility from the system.



    Check out /System/Library/CFMSupport and check if CarbonLib and a few other libraries are in there.
