HD-DVD to DL DVD?

If I have the contents of an HD-DVD is there a converter yet for mac that will allow me to convert this to a video file (1080p-1080p) so that I can burn it to a regular DL DVD?

    I'm not necessarily wanting to downconvert so much as convert the video files to regular dvd compatible then shrink them onto a normal DL DVD.

    I think there are some threads on shrinking the files by re-encoding.
