Great. If it a Microsoft program make sure to read the EULA to see what information they collect about you and the extra "security" programs they installed behind your back that give others access to your hard drive. I believe Microsoft is no longer programming for the benefit of customers but rather for large corporations. Microsoft also follows the demands of the RIAA and DMCA, which if they get their way, means this program is just another Trojan Horse for consumers. Wise up people! Don't fall for it! (This rant is not directed to anyone on AI, after all we use Macs. It is just a rant and I am in my typical ranting-mood today)

if you thought the paper-clip popping into your face was annoying, now imagine the power of friends sending additional pop-up "winks" to exponentially increase your opportunities for joyful close box clicking

oh, and the ability for remote-push porn-desktop-slideshows will surely please mom's everywhere

    Good find, damn that's funny.

Too much ammo in this, I must away and make up further gags along the lines of "I always knew Windoze was for winkers"...

"As you can see, the kids have to be down with installing a metric arseload of supporting extras before they can get jiggy with the winking action."

"Dammit, if you can't get stock price alerts, the terrorists have already won!"

The link tooltips are a treat too.

    Thank you!

Heh, there's some more random research money down the drain. Why the heck would I ever want a freaking "wink" of some gigantic lip be animated on my desktop?

    Dear. God. In. Heaven.

Microsoft really does not Get It, to a degree that never fails to astonish me. Nice aliasing around the borders of the form-over-sanity windows, too.

Really... View Wink History?! This is the sort of thing that is completely indistinguishable from parody.

Think of 3 degrees as the ICQ equivalent of boy bands and Spears/Aguilera/JLo. It manufactured cool and fake street cred on a very thin (almost non-existent) veneer of tech innovation. Yo IPv6 rox.

    But... tabs!

Seriously, sometimes manufactured street cred works, but when it fails, it fails. Frankly, MS' attempts at cool have a dismal success rate. This is not only a caricature of an app, but I can already think of plenty of ways in which it will be annoying and singularly easy to abuse.
