Rebuilding iTunes after external HD crash - ALMOST made it

Hi all-

A year ago I moved my iTunes library onto an external hard drive, since it was taking up too much of my iBook's measly 40 GB HD.

All worked well until the external died.

I got a new one, and used the excellent Senuti to reload my music from my iPod into iTunes. This has worked, EXCEPT all my videos (TV shows bought at the iTunes Store, and several videos downloaded/converted from YouTube using iSquint) are not appearing in iTunes. The files are thereon the external drive, but they won't import into iTune either via 'Add to Library' or by dragging them.

Also, as a test, I tried downloading/converting a YouTube video and loading it into iTunes. That wouldnt work either.

I'm running the latest version of iTunes and 10.4.8. Any thoughts?

Have you authorized your iTunes account on this computer? In iTunes, go to the Store menu and click Authorize Computer.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that, but it doesn't seem to have changed anything. It'sweird - iTunes just won't accept any videos or TV shows, not ones I bought from iTunes nor simple mp4's downloaded from YouTube.
