Based on reviewing Excel for Mac website, I should be able to write macros as I do in my Office 2000 on my PC...right?

How about use of macro buttons? Available in Excel for Mac?

Yes...planning to switch even if Virtual PC goes down the tube!!!!!!!! <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

You should be ok, do you write your macros to call on anything specific in windows? What do you make your macros in? Do they need to be cross platfrom too by the way, you'll be amazed in how easy applescript can do some things that are repetitive throughout office. All in all tho I use some macros in excel and they work great.

Macros and VBA in Office X are fine. At least I never ran into any major issues. There was one but it was more annoying than an actual problem.

I use macros to do normal repetitive operations such as sorts, go to, etc. and macro buttons to identify operation (ex., sort or go to next page, etc.). Also, use buttons to label certain warnings on worksheets such as "DO NOT INPUT in columns D-G". Use macros mainly in Excel but have few in Word. Thanks for help!
