When Leopard comes out this October, will installing it give me iLife '08?

    Welcome to AI!

Unless Apple changes how they have done things in the past, no, you will have to buy a copy of iLife 08 separately. If you buy a new machine after 10.5 is released, then iLife 08 will come preinstalled along with 10.5.

iLife is a unique bundle of applications which is distinct from the OS.

Sorry but I wouldn't expect it... Just as installing Vista doesn't get you any other (sold as retail) software (such as MS Office etc)

It'd be good if they did a discount if you bought say, Leopard and iLife together, or Leopard and iWork together... that kind of thing (not that I mind paying for them all individually, they're MUCH more reasonably priced than Microsoft crap).

No, but you might be considered cool and if you're in college might get you laid more often. /sarcasm.
