iPod touch WiFi functionality

I think there are two possible functions of the iPod touch WiFi that as far as I can see have not yet been discussed. Since the iPod touch now seems to be running a more OS X-like operating system presumably it's interface is more akin to iTunes than the more primitive earlier iPod OS. If this is the case:

1. If you are on a WiFi network on which an iTunes user is sharing their playlist shouldn't you be able to access that from your WiFi enabled iPod?

2. If you have an AirPort Express/AirTunes base station should you not be able to stream your iTunes content to the the base station (+ amp/speakers etc) without need to go to a computer running iTunes?

Personally I would think these would be quite cool uses of the technology

Please don't give me a hard timeif:

a. This has been said already - I couldn't find any mention of it

b. I am being stupid and have not fully understood stuff
