iPod classic repeatedly freezing/resetting

Hey guys. Now, I've had my 5G 30GB iPod classic for just over six months (got it brand new, not second hand), and starting a few days ago it has begun freezing at random (I know it's happened at least six times in the last two days alone). I've reset my iPod each time it's happened, but within a few minutes it's done it again. Also, today, it reset itself midway through a track...I've restored it's factory settings and I've been careful with it (it's never been dropped, always kept in a case, etc), so why it's doing this I have no idea. Gah, I'd use my old iPod nano that I got two years ago if it wasn't for the fact it only holds 1GB of music...that's been pretty much trashed and it works fine. How frustrating. Any answer would be appreciated, thanks.
