SLI and Crossfire are lame. Support for the 8800 series GPUs wouldn't go amiss though. Maybe Apple can't keep them cool enough - they barely manage with the X1900XT.

Even with SLI 8800GTX cards, Oblivion right up at maximum with all the extra options on runs about 20-30fps.
Graphics cards just aren't fast enough for these games yet.
AFAIK, lack of crossfire support is due to Intel not Apple btw.
I agree that Apple need to get some better GPUs in all of their lineup though. Since Crysis isn't out for at least another month (though the demo is supposed to be coming next month I think), maybe Apple will have an update before then. We've still got Leopard to get.

i think it has somthing more to do with EFI.
Microsoft really screwed everything with their 80's bios.
