Have a HFS + partition into 2 with out lossing data

I have a 200 gb external hard drive and i want to partition it into 2 one with hfs+ and one for FAT32 format, is there any way to do this with out losing the data?

There is a good chance that if you are asking that question you have an Intel computer, and therefore a GUI partitioned disk. If so, you can use the article I wrote up here:
