iPhone update 1.1.1 only available through iTunes 7.4.2?

I'm currently using iTunes 7.4.0 mainly due to the ringtones workaround, but whenever I click check for update, it says 1.02 is the latest iPhone version. Do I need to install a later iTunes (7.4.2) to download the new iPhone update? Thanks.

    I was able to update successfully using iTunes 7.4.0.28.



    ...only "bad" thing I noticed is that I can no longer hear my ringtones created using the extension renaming method...grrr

    DON'T DO IT DO NOT UPDATE YOUR iPhone To 1.1.1 it will kill all 3rd party apps and your ringtones that were not bought via itunes.
