10.5 with Powerbook G4?

Hey everyone,

I know that the G4 processor is supposed to be compatible with 10.5, but this sounds like an assumption. Would 10.5 REALLY work with a powerbook G4 1.66 ghz 2 gig ram? Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks.

Yes, it supports machines all the way down to 867Mhz G4s. A 1.66Ghz G4 is far from the bottom of the barrel. System requirements are in the left column on this page.

Early reports indicate that Leopard not only works on G4s, but in most cases is much more responsive than Tiger.

I'll let you know over the weekend. I have a 12" PB G4 1.5 GHz and will install Leopard on it this weekend.
