Artist selection not behaving! 80GB Ipod
I have just added an album to my Ipod.
I wanted to play the selections of the download.
I can obviously find the music 'recently added'.
But a search for the artist's name on the Ipod does not work. I can find everyone else but this one, although the music is there and you can see a proper entry on the screen when playing, the name is not on the list of arists.
I have reset and re-downloaded to no good effect. Cannot see I have done anything differently.
Everything in the right place in I-tunes.
BTW the download was from a CD I own, not a copy.

When the album was registered with Gracenote, whomever entered it put a comma between surname and christian name, as in 'John, Smith'.
The comma obviously had some significance to the I-tunes program as it hid the information when transferred to the Ipod.
