Would it be possible for me to replace the Combo Drive in my Macbook for a better, faster Super Drive? What would be the warranty status after this if it is possible? Thanks

    Well, it can be done.

In fact, i'm going to be doing that to my mac mini, but the mini's way easier to get open than the macbook is.

It would take a lot of work to replace it in a macbook, and it would void any warranty you may have on it.
