FONTS? Where to get them

I was just looking for a source for Mac fonts, particularly on eBay, when I noticed that they are very cheap. I assumed that this meant that I could probably get them for free elsewhere so I did a Google search.

Are places like freemacfonts.com any good? Or are they just scam sites, or virus sites?

I was looking for the CSI: Las Vegas type of font, but I'm also looking for a collegiate style of font for a shirt that I'm designing.

    http://www.dafont.com/ has lots of free fonts.

    The font management program called Linotype Explorer on that site gets a good rating and you can buy fonts directly in the program without using a browser. This way it goes directly into your collection.
