installer upgrade won't allow HD select to install

I went to download iphoto for my ibook and saw I needed to upgrade from 10.1 to 10.1.2. After downloading tried to install and it said need to install upgrade to installer. After downloading installer upgrade started to install and would get to the point to select drive to install,it would show my drives faded out and would not let me select any drive to install installer upgrade...wheww...



any ideas?

    Try running Software Update again from System Preferences. It will probably ask you to download and install a couple of security updates before you can upgrade to 10.1.2
