OSX Tiger: Folders in dock

Is there a way I can have a folder to organize all my Adobe, Microsoft applications instead of cluttering my dock with 5 of each?

You have two options. One, you can launch your applications from the Applications folder. Just drag the Applications folder to the Dock. From there you can launch any application either by control+clicking or by right clicking on said Applications folder.

If you want to have a folder in the Dock that contains only the Adobe and Microsoft applications, create a folder, create and place Alias for those applications in that folder, then drag it to the Dock.
