Archive and Install Previous Systems Folder on Macintosh HD

Hey, when I installed Leopard on my Powerbook G4 1.67 Ghz I had to do an Archive and Install ( I think that was what I chose) in order for it to run properly. I did this when Leopard came out and everything is running very nicely. However, I have a folder on my Macintosh HD that says "Previous Systems" and I believe that it was used for the Archive and Install. Problem is is that it takes up 10 GB of my HD. Do i need this anymore? All of the files that are in it seem to be in the correct directories anyways.

When i try to delete the folder it says that it is currently in use. what should i do?
