    That refers to Generation 5 and Generation 6 servers, not the processors inside.



    Only Moto and Apple use Gx nomenclature for the processor. IBM sticks to the codenames 750cxe, etc).

    They have nothing to do with PowerPC, they are mainframe S/390 G5 and G6 processors.

    Good try.It does say G-5,G-6 processors.Man are we desperate or what?It seems the Apple Community is bound so tightly together.All the Apple Guru's

    are more determined now than ever before.They won't jump ship and are willing to wait it out.

    But the high-end digital content people need alot more horse-power to stay on-board.I sure hope and pray the G-5 measures up.No Apollo...but G-5 with the maximum in hardware technology.i.e. HyperTransport,Rapid IO,Kernel Hyper-Threading,at least 400 Mhz Bus,etc..Just max it out Apple.It is Do or Die on the Wings of an Angel.
