Transfering play count when moving files

Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to transfer my playcount from itunes to my new computer. All my music files were in random places on my old computer, I moved them all to an external hard drive and transfered them to my new computer. I also transfered the libary file from the itunes folder and the xml file as well but when i open the mp3 in my new computer the count is zero .... what can I do.
