itunes on windows help

i am using itunes(came with ipod) to try to pull up track and artist info from mix cd's that a friend has burned(on his mac....he is able to pull up the track title and artist name on his mac but i can't on my pc using itunes) on my pc (windows xp) and can't get ANY track info other than the number of the track and track length...is there a patch i can download to resolve this problem? Looks like this : Track 1 7:01

    Nope. There's no way to save text data onto standard Audio CD's, so there's no way you could retrieve it. You'll have to type in the artist and track titles by hand.



    Actually I suspect you're just trying to find an automated way of re-titling ripped CD's so that you can "de-DRM" purchased music, am I right? Otherwise your friend would have the sense to send you the MP3 or AAC files instead.
