On-The-Go Playlist and Cover Flow on iPod Nano 3Gen

I just tried to use the On-The-Go playlist for the first time today on my new Nano, and I was unable to add songs to the playlist from the cover flow view. Is this a known issue? Incidentally, I can use it while browsing by artist or album. This seems really... um, what's the word for it... sh*tty. Perhaps Apple doesn't expect that people will want to use cover flow?



Am I missing something?
