problems opening a directory

i have one particular folder that i try to open and and it won't open. the finder just flashes, so to speak. i can't think of any other way to describe it.



I've used TechTool Deluxe and it found to no problems. I don't really want to wipe my drive...



anyone else ever have this problem?

    Do you have sufficient privileges?



    Where is this folder located and how was it created?



    Have you had access before?

    Have you tried accessing the folder using Terminal.app? Use "cd /home/foldername/" and then do a "ls -al" to view all the contents of the folder.



    Try making a copy of the folder and then open the copy - do you get the same problem? Try moving the folder to an external USB disk/drive and see if you can access it on another computer.
